About the job
Our client is a renowned European retailer and they are seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing efforts for our home decoration vertical. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to expand our network and offerings in home decor products such as vase, table décor, cushion, lighting, wall art, accessories, and more.
Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential new suppliers and vendors for home decor products in line with company goals, quality standards, and price targets
Conduct due diligence on prospects including capability assessments, compliance checks, site visits, and sample reviews
Negotiate terms with new partners including pricing, minimum order quantities, lead times, quality control, and service level agreements
Onboard successful partners by coordinating trial orders, providing spec sheets, and streamlining ordering/fulfillment processes
Maintain relationships with existing partners through regular business reviews, monitoring KPIs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Stay current on design trends, new products, innovations, and opportunities in the home decor market
Prepare regular pipeline and performance reports on sourcing activities, supplier scorecards, and projected cost savings
Requirements
Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is required
8+ years experience in sourcing is required
Existing network of contacts and relationships with suppliers in Europe or globally
Strong negotiation skills and analytical approach to cost/benefit analysis
Ability to travel occasionally for supplier visits and trade shows
Solid experience in handling home décor is required
